Where does the event take place?
Reading Pride takes place at Kings Meadow in Reading, which is off of Napier Road. It is a short walk from the train station.
I heard they are developing on King’s Meadow, does this affect Reading Pride?
Planning permission has been granted to develop the lido which is situated on Kings Meadow. While the layout of the site will have to adapt to the new development, we will continue to run our festival on this site.
When is the event?
This year's event takes place on 3rd September 2016.
Are there any other Reading Pride events throughout the year?
Reading Pride tries to run as many fundraising and awareness events throughout the year. If you wish to receive notification of future events then please sign up to our newsletter to receive the latest information.
How much does it cost to enter?
Reading Pride is pleased to be a FREE Pride event. Our volunteers fundraise throughout the year to help the people of Thames Valley celebrate diversity. If you enjoy your time at the event, then please donate what you can.
How do I take part in the parade?
The Parade starts outside Reading Station's new south enterence.

How do I have book a space for the market stall?

What should I wear?
It is important that you do wear something, as this is a family event but otherwise wear what you like! It is difficult to predict the weather, but we suggest comfortable clothing and if you wish to dress according to our theme then this is encouraged.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
Yes you can bring personal supplies of food and soft drinks in sealed [unopened] containers. Due to licensing restrictions alcoholic drinks cannot be brought on to the site although we offer a reasonably priced bar service. We perform checks on entrance to the site and reserve the right to confiscate any bottles we consider to contain alcohol or drugs.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, we are a family friendly event and encourage everyone to come along. We do ask that young children are supervised at all times.
Please note that whilst every effort is made to keep language on the Main Stage as clean as possible before 5pm after this time it is only suitable for over 15's.
Are there any age restricted areas?
The sale of alcohol is strictly over 18s and we operate a think 25 policy.
In the past we have considered age restricted areas so if this is something you are interested in running, then please get in contact with us.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome on site. However, the event can be noisy and there is limited shelter, so discretion is advised.
When I can book tickets for the VIP area?
VIP tickets will be available for sale in the run-up to the event, sign-up for our newsletter and check back as the big day approaches.
Pride Life Members receive discounted admission to the VIP area.
What do you get in the VIP area?
Our VIP area offers covered seating, dedicated bar service, unrivalled views of the stage and much more - look our for more details in the run-up to Pride.

We are always interested in meeting potential new sponsors and supporters. Whilst we require significant financial support, we are always open to local businesses who can offer their products of services for free or at a heavily discounted rate.
