Over the years, Reading Pride has grown bigger and better. So to prove it, this year we are going to "write the theme tune, sing the theme tune"! This year we have contacted Nicolette Street (who has performed alongside Anastacia, Pixie Lott and Toyah Wilcox) and songwriter/producer Carl Engelmarc (who has worked with Madison, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion and Britney Spears) to write a song that that reaches out to those who have been affected by bullying and to empower us to make a change.

There will be a special performance of "Sticks & Stones" on the day by Nicolette Street, her band the Revs, as well as a number of other artists who are helping Reading to take Pride one step further... This year Reading Pride has formed a mini Pride Aid!

"Sticks & Stones" is already available to listen to on YouTube (Click Here) and SoundCloud (Click Here). What's more, on the 11th August, you can download the track and music video from iTunes, Amazon and Napster. On the 3rd September, the limited edition CD "Sticks & Stones" will be for sale at Pride for £2, with all profits going towards supporting bullying in the LGBT community.

So, if you don't already have a reason for heading down to Reading Pride, you can now come along and show solidarity with our crucial campaign to support bullying in the LGBT community. We look forward to seeing you there.

Oh, and before we go, here is a little sneak peak at what's to come.

Don't turn to me say I'm a freak Don't look at me that way. You just don't know how deep it goes each and every day. Don't cause me pain then laugh again What a stupid game you play. After all don't you know, We're only skin & bone.

Verse 1: You gave me a look, Was that all it took, To find myself on the outside looking in. Maybe you judge, A little too fast First impressions always seem to last.

Bridge: Sticks and stones may break my bones. But words will never hurt me. They just don't know, how deep it can go.

Chorus: Don't turn to me say I'm a freak don't look at me that way. You just don't know how deep it goes each and every day. Don't cause me pain then laugh again What a stupid game you play. After all don't you know, We're only skin & bone.

Verse 2: Now I am strong, I'm moving on, Pick myself up, get back in the race

Bridge: Sticks and stones may break my bones But words will always haunt me. They just don't know, how deep it can go.

Chorus: Don't turn to me say I'm a freak don't look at me that way. You just don't know how deep it goes each and every day. Don't cause me pain then laugh again What a stupid game you play. After all don't you know, We're only skin & bone.

Finale: Won't bring me down (all in unison) Never never never, no, no, no Sticks & Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Only Skin & Bones
