With just a week to go before Reading Pride 2012 kicks into action, this year’s Pride looks set to be a scorcher. This year, Reading Pride is going all the way to the big top with a Circus theme, with a huge variety of acts and performances of all shapes and sizes.

The 9th Reading Pride will officially begin with the Pride Parade, starting at The Civic Centre at 11.30am and making its way through Reading Town Centre to its final destination of Kings Meadow, Miss Sue Panover will be leading the revellers in her wedding dress to highlight the current issue of gay marraige.

With entertainment starting from 12-20pm, this year’s headline acts on the main stage will include Angie Brown – "I'm Gonna Get You" and "Took My Love", X-Factor’s Kitty Brucknell, Tight Fit, Hazel Dean, All girl rock band - Greymatter, Stevie Moore and Readings very own Willma Fingadoo, all joined by a mix of the best performers and artists, with sets also by local community groups in The Bad Playground Circus Big Top and Dance Tent.

Complementing the theme of Circus, the BAD (Berkshire Alternative Dance) Playground, is supporting Pride for the 4th year, has been upgraded to the big top, sponsored by The Rising Sun, with independent performers from around Reading coming together to play with their skills for your entertainment with a combination of the best dance and circus performance skills, from belly dancing to stilt walking, swing dancing to pole dancing and much more, coupled with the best beats to keep you on your feet dancing from commercial to deep funky house, including DJ Lee Harvey, DJ Housewife Collective, DJ Jax and Cleavage.
