Join The Parade
The Reading Pride Parade brings the spirit of Pride to the centre of Reading and provides an opportunity for groups, organisations and individuals to show their support for both Pride and the ongoing campaign for equality.
This year we are asking you to help us turn the Parade into a spectacle of noise and colour that cannot be missed! Be it drums, whistles, trumpets, music or dance; do whatever you can do to bring the parade to life. This is your opportunity to make our Parade stand out, with a real party atmosphere and for it to be an unforgettable experience, as we start Pride day with style.
Meeting from 11am, the parade will be setting off at 11:30am on Station Hill, right outside Reading Station. The Biscuit Tin, as well as other shops in the station, will be open for coffee and breakfast.
From Station Hill, the parade will pass along the entire length of Broad Street via Greyfriars Road and West Street making its way along before turning into Market Place where this year we will then turn right into The Forbury, and then into Forbury Gardens. We will then leave Forbury Gardens and cross Forbury Road and head under the railway line, turning right into Napier Road, left in King's Meadow Road and then heading down the tow path into King's Meadow where we will then enter this year's Festival site at approximately 12 noon.
Anyone can join our parade – if you are a group or organisation, planning on bringing a banner or would like to discuss promoting your business in the Parade please register using the booking form.
Whoever you are, remember to be as colourful and loud as possible! Let's make this year the best Pride Parade Reading has ever seen!
