    • Columbia Threadneedle Investments’ Pride & Allies Network, established in 2017, aims to provide a supportive working environment to the LGBT+ community. The network’s purpose is to:

      • Support and empower people to feel proud of who they are, without fear of harassment
      • Support straight allies in showing their solidarity with the community
      • Empower employees to challenge homophobia and transphobia when encountered.

Columbia Threadneedle is part of the global Ameriprise organisation, and our network is affiliated with Ameriprise PRIDE, which has received a 100% rating on the HRC Foundation Corporate Equality Index 12 years in a row.

"When the minority has the backing of the majority, you no longer have minorities and majorities - you have equality."

Dei McLaughlin, business sponsor for Diversity & Inclusion in EMEA at Columbia Threadneedle, says the initial reaction to the launch has been encouraging and the network is looking forward to its first Pride event in Reading on 1 September 2018.

Columbia Threadneedle is proud to support diversity and inclusion in all its forms.

    • Unite is Britain's biggest union with 1.42 million members across 20 industrial sectors in every type of workplace from Banking to Public Transport, from Construction to Charity Workers.

Unite is the union for the 21st century meeting the great challenges facing working people today. It is a democratic and campaigning union which fights back for employees in the workplace, protecting workers' rights and taking trade unionism out to millions of unorganised workers. It is a union with equalities at its heart. One that stands up for equality for all and advances the interests of its members on a political and national level.

We campaign for equal rights for LGBT+ people in the workplace, in the community and across the world. We fight against homophobia, transphobia and biphobia wherever it raises it ugly head.

Our volunteers, ordinary working people like you, will be on hand to answer any questions so come chat to us on our stall at Reading Pride and see how you can get involved!

    • Nationwide is committed to putting our members first and that includes you

At Nationwide, we believe in celebrating difference, promoting inclusion and advancing LGBT+ equality, which is why we’re proud to sponsor the 2018 Reading Pride Parade.

We’re a mutual, which means we’re owned by and run for the benefit of our members.

We want to do our best for our members - and a big part of that is supporting the communities in which they live and work.

Whether that’s the millions we invest in local causes, the thousands of hours our employees volunteer, or the housing projects we support; we’re dedicated to building society and Pride, nationwide.

Tony Prestedge, Executive Director and LGBT Sponsor:

      > At Nationwide we're so proud of our diverse communities and work hard to create a culture of mutual respect and understanding. This summer we’ve taken part in parades up and down the country to help celebrate difference, promote inclusion and advance LGBT+ equality and we’re honoured to be sponsors of the Reading parade this year.
