Community Event of the Year
Pride of Reading Awards 2024
Reading Pride 2025
Reading Pride’s annual Parade & Festival returns on Saturday 30th August 2025 at King’s Meadow.
The Festival kicks off when the Parade arrives at 12pm with a full line-up of entertainment across our stages throughout the day along with a funfair, family area, a wide range of food, drink and market stalls.
Bringing the spirit of Pride to the centre of Reading and providing opportunities for groups, organisations and individuals to show their support for both Pride and the ongoing campaign for equality.
It’s been a challenging year for Pride events nationwide, with cancellations due to funding and volunteer shortages. Reading Pride is experiencing similar difficulties and we don’t want to put up a similar announcement – but we have to face the facts. Each year, it costs over £110,000 to host the Reading Pride Parade and Festival and our dedicated volunteer committee works tirelessly to raise every single penny.
Crucially, support from local companies and organisations has halved, leaving us with a £30,000 deficit just weeks before the event. We believe in being transparent with our community, which is why we’re sharing this with you.
We need your help to ensure Reading Pride can not only happen this year but continue to thrive for years to come. Here’s how you can support us:
- Donate now – we have a Go Fund Me fundraiser live – share and give
- Donate at the Gate:Please give £5 when you arrive via card or cash.
- Consider Pride Plus: Dedicated seating and shelter for just £25
- Local Organisations: If your company or employer can provide a donation, products or services, however large or small, it would be invaluable.
- Volunteer Your Time: We always need enthusiastic individuals to help on the day, with fundraising, or to join our organisation committee.
Let’s ensure Reading Pride continues to be a beacon of hope, celebration and visibility for our community. Your support ensures we’ll be here this year and every year
