Prep for Pride, Broad St Mall, Reading

Join us on Friday, August 30th, from 10am to 3pm for a day of Pride prep that’s sure to get you excited for the big event. Starting at 11 am, come and meet the fabulous Lady M! This spectacular drag queen will be getting ready for her main stage performance at Reading Pride, and you can snap a photo with her before she takes the spotlight. Lady M will also be handing out lots of FREE Pride-themed goodies to help you celebrate in style. And to get you fully into the Pride spirit, we’ll have FREE glitter art available too, so you can show off your Pride excitement as you prep for the big celebration! The MyUmbrella LGBT+ team will be on hand to bring the energy and enthusiasm!

On Friday the vibes are immaculate starting at 4 PM, but by 8 PM, we’re turning up the heat for your pre-Pride warm up party—this one’s going late, so pace yourself (or don’t, we’re not judging ).

The main event, babes! We’re open from 10 AM serving breakfast baps and pimped-up prosecco (because mimosas are for beginners). The bar is open 10am-4am. Our three resident queens Wilma Fingadoo Bodacia Lady M Drag, will be serving looks and laughs as we watch the parade go by.

Going all out for Reading Pride? So are we, kicking off with breakfast rolls at 10am to enjoy in our front garden to watch the parade kick off, with cool and camp tunes all day courtesy of Tracks n’ Grooves. Our Icons Only drag extravaganza in the nighttime with performances from: Sum Ting Wong, Just May (pictured), Louis Cyfer and Victoria Scone, serving food until 10pm and closing at 2am.
