Volunteer
Reading Pride is run by unpaid volunteers, and we need your help to make Pride happen! Volunteering with us can be a rewarding, exciting and important way to support the LGBT+ community. Help make Reading Pride an event for the community and get those warm fuzzy feelings knowing you made it happen.

We’ve worked really hard to keep our Pride a free event for everyone to attend (not just those who can afford it). This means we rely on people to donate, and we need more people collecting those donations for us as well as other tasks like building staging, stewarding the parade or cleaning up the site so that we leave it as we found it!

Register as a volunteer by viewing the available roles below and then use the contact us button to apply, make sure to let us know which role you are applying for!

Festival Committee Positions

Reading Pride is organised by a committee of around 20 volunteers in a range of roles, you can find out more about what positions are available here.

Trustee positions

Reading Pride Trustees are the guardians of Reading Pride’s charitable aims and objectives, ensuring we follow the requirements set by the Charity Commission, as well as offering assistance, support and advice to the Committee. If you are interested in becoming a Trustee, find out more here.

Community Ambassadors

We need people who are friends and supporters of Reading Pride who feel connected to Reading Pride in their communities and in some cases, places of work. Our ambassadors are a network of volunteers, who raise the awareness of Reading Pride within the wider community. Find out how you can be an ambassador here.
